A new kind of 1st Friday!
Stations are not just for Lent anymore. Why not take Mom out early for Mother’s Day. On the First Friday of May (May 6), come to Priestfield where we will have an excellent opportunity to grow in faith, family, and fun.
Fr. Grassi will be offering Mass at 4:00 p.m. followed by “Stations of the Cross with Mary” through the woods. Afterwards the grounds will be open for walking and we will have Shrimp Tacos, Moby Dick Sandwiches, our Crab Cake Sandwich of Senior Citizen Fame and Nemo Platters for the young. Children’s dinners will start at $5.00 per person and adult meals will start at $10.00 per person, if you buy ahead at St. Zita. Prices slightly higher at the door. Sit out on the deck, enjoy your family and let Priestfield do the cooking for you. All proceeds will go to support our Gallitzin Project as we continue our efforts to save Priestfield.
The beautiful gift shop at Priestfield will be open from 5-8 to give you an opportunity to do some shopping for Mom.
==Book Release and Signing==
Come to First Friday at Priestfield and be one of the first ones to get an autographed copy of “Fr. Francis and Mr. Herbert.” It is a great children’s book that tells the story of forgiveness in the context of parish life. The book will sell for $10.00 and the local author and illustrator will be on hand to autograph. The first edition will be a run of only 100 copies. All proceeds will benefit the Gallitzin project at Priestfield.
