Nursing Home Mass & Communion to the Homebound

Communion of Dying by Alexey Venetsianov, 1839

Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

James 5: 14-15

To reduce the potential exposure of the nursing home residents to the coronavirus, all nursing home masses are canceled until further notice.  Pursuant to Bishop Brennan’s mandate, at this time, the Eucharist may only be offered as viaticum, in other words, to a person near, or in danger of, death.  Should your loved be in this situation, please call the Parish Office and press 1 for cases of emergency.
