Learning to Pray the Liturgy of the Hours

The Liturgy of the Hours is the prayer of the Church, also known as the Divine Office, it “marks the hours and sanctifies the day.”

Many of us are curious about this practice but find it challenging to learn the ins and outs of the Christian prayer book. How about we take this time of this literal slow down from our commitments outside of our homes, to become familiar with the prayer and to possibly incorporate into our daily faith life?

Gary Penkala, Pastoral Associate for Liturgy and Music at Saint James, is offering us a 4-part series of online seminars for this purpose. The videos will be posted to our YouTube channel starting with the first video today at 7 pm.

Each session is accompanied by a written outline with pertinent information to that session. YouTube will have a link to this page where you can find the PDF of the outline.
