2020-21 RCIA Information

RCIA Classes Start in August!

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) plans to hold its first meeting on Sunday, August 16 from 9:15 am to 10:45 am in the St. James Library.  Any persons baptized in another faith, those who have not been baptized, or anyone who is interested in exploring the Catholic faith are invited to attend. Since we know not everyone may be able to attend in person and social distancing must be observed making space limited, we will record each session and have it available on YouTube later that week. Please complete an information form https://stjameswv.org/download/rcia/RCIA_GeneralInfoSheet.pdf if you are interested in attending RCIA. Forms and questions can be directed to rcia@stjameswv.org

RCIA Sponsors…First Call for Sponsors!

It is not too early to start thinking about being an RCIA sponsor for 2020-2021. The rewards of being a sponsor far outweigh the time and effort you put into it. Sponsors do not need to be scholars or theologians. You need only to be willing to share your faith and to make a commitment to attend/discuss sessions and activities with the person you sponsor. Being a sponsor is a satisfying way to become an active steward in our parish. Classes begin Sunday, August 16, and will conclude in June 2021. Classes plan to meet on Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:45 am in the St. James Library and will be recorded for availability on YouTube for those that are not able to attend in person. Please complete an information form https://stjameswv.org/download/rcia/RCIA_GeneralInfoSheet.pdf if you are interested in becoming an RCIA sponsor.
